School grades going down - moms couldn't explain
She looked at me and rap she used to blame
For the way I rocked my hair and my fat gold-chain
Growing up to an adult state of shape

I practiced everyday - so the kid knew his trade
And doing good was my main objective
Still somehow I had to be corrected
Hung with the bad boys - up most respected
City knew my name - it was all connected
Some still rocking - seen some go to prison

Became aware of the ways of the world
Where corruption and greed gone beyond absurd
